Merry Christmas!!!! (almost)
How are you guys!!! I haven't received a letter from you guys yet but I figure that's because were just gonna talk on Thursday but I wanna know how you guys are!!! I hope everything is fine and that you are preparing for Christmas!!! I know I am!!! Well, there isn't much to prepare for. Haha. I'm not going to do anything haha. Other than talk with you guys and walk around my area for some lonely person to teach. Haha. Christmas is crazy here. No one is in their houses or don't want to receive us because they are with their families we keep working!!! Happily working!!!
My new companion is Elder Rivera from Ecuador. He has 18 months in the mission and we are the Zone Leaders of Zona Tahuantisuyo. He's a cool guy and we work well together. This week we have worked a bunch. When Elder Vidal left I still didn't know the area really well and we didn't have any investigators. So when Elder Rivera got here we just went to work and we ended up finding a bunch of less actives and investigators and at the end of the week one sister that we found this week can to church and committed to baptism! Woooo!!!! We definitely received a lot of blessings this week.
But we are working really hard in out area. But this week I have been thinking a lot about Christ and his birth. On Christmas we celebrate the birth of the Lord and he remember His coming into the World and we remember that he is our savior and redeemer and with out him we would be lost forever. And on Sunday as the bishopric gave their messages of Christmas I was thinking about the birth of Christ and his life and a great impression came over me. On Christmas we celebrate his birth, but on Sunday morning I received the overwhelming impression that he was born and he still lives. 2000 years he was born and today, this very moment He Lives. I know that Christ lives and I cannot express my feelings I have this Christmas season. I can only say that I am so so thankful and grateful for the birth of that little child in Bethlehem on Christmas day.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Lucas 2:10-14
I hope you remember this year that Christ was born and because he was born we may all live again. I know that Christ is our redeemer, savior, and king. And I know that Our Heavenly Father sent his son to complete his plan of salvation Moses
1:39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.
I am so thankful to our Heavenly Father and I know that He lives and that His son lives as well. I pray that the Christmas we remember what the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes did every single one of us.
Merry Christmas and may God be with you the season!!!
I love you guys!!!!
FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!!!!
Poco a Poco,
Elder McIff
